It’s a start. Thank you for joining me.

First let me explain that I am not tech savvy nor terribly creative. So pardon the lack luster appearance of these pages. Hopefully the content will be enough to bring you back.

Let’s start with the title of the blog. Pop’s Happy Hour. Pop was chosen as it is the title I hold that I am the most fond of. Happy Hour was chosen a bit tongue in cheek as I no longer drink alcohol. I have decided to blog, in part, to fill the void left from missing out on the happy hours with my friends that I so enjoyed. REALLY enjoyed…like a WHOLE lot.

Secondly lets talk content and format. I imagine this as a place to share and discuss many of the same things we would discuss over a cocktail at one of my favorite places on the Drive. Of course the fact that I am no longer doing that will necessarily introduce a variety of additional topics. But you should expect to read about health and mental health, change, relationships, (sex) politics and parenting. I am sure other areas will emerge and encourage you to comment. Remember I am doing this instead of going to happy hour and I rarely did that alone! I need you here to make it work, to make it helpful and to make it fun. I look forward to oversharing with you all in the days to come.
